Obituary

Julian Henry Solis, 18, of Amarillo, Texas, passed from this life on May 5, 2026, in Amarillo. He was born on October 3, 2007, in Amarillo, TX, to Henry Solis and Vanette Minefee.

Julian was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He had a beautiful smile, a great sense of humor, and a way of making friends everywhere he went. He loved music, cruising, dressing sharp, and making sure his bling was just right. He was known for being a bit of a lady's man, for his love of food- especially Takis.- and for the joy he brought to his family and friends.

Julian attended Brennan High School in San Antonio, TX and he graduated from the University of Texas High School. He was a proud Marine Corps poolee and had a strong love for sports. From seventh through tenth grade, he played football, and he gave his whole heart to every sport he played, especially football and basketball. Whether on the field, on the court, or just having fun, Julian played with passion and determination.

He enjoyed video games, especially Fortnite, roller blading, ice skating, swimming, going to the beach, and spending time with his friends and siblings. Some of his most treasured moments were spent fishing with his Nana. Julian loved his family deeply, and his hero was his dad.

Most importantly, Julian had recently given his life to the Lord and was baptized by his uncle John Solis at the Dalhart Church of Christ. His family takes comfort in knowing that Julian had made that beautiful decision and is now resting in the arms of his Savior.

Julian is survived by his father, Henry Solis; his mother Vanette Minefee; his grandmother, Helen Solis; his sisters, Mia Solis and Erin Dunn; his brothers, Heron Ramirez, Jordan Solis, Patrick Dunn, Marcus Grimaldo and Christopher Grimaldo; Uncle and Aunts, John Solis IV and wife Veronica Solis, Uncle Joe and Aunt Frances Concha; cousins, John Solis V, Shelly Soilis, Mark Concha, David Concha, Andrew Concha and Abigail Avitia; along with many other loving family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John L. Solis, lovingly known as "Popo."

Though Julian's time on Earth was far too short, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who love him. His life was a gift, and his memory will remain and blessing.
