Karina was born on September 18, 1994 in Ciudad, Juarez, Chihuahua, MX to Jose and Dulce Gomez. She moved to Texas in 2004, settling in Amarillo that same year, where she graduated from Tascosa High School in 2013. She then married Joel Ramos in 2015 and they had their son Eli on December 15, 2016. Karina was a committed mother and wife, always working to keep a clean home and care for her family. Being a wife and mother was her passion and Eli was her world. She enjoyed watching him play soccer, encouraging him at every single game. She was employed with BSA Hospital in medical records for 2 years and made many friends there.

Karina was known to be selfless, always putting others first, even throughout her illness, she wanted to make sure everyone else was ok. She helped to care for her brothers as a second mother would. Above all, Karina loved her Lord, Jesus. She was a member of the praise team at Amarillo for Christ Church for several years and sang to her Lord and Savior, where everyone loved her and enjoyed her beautiful voice. She showed incredible courage, faith, and strength throughout her battle. Despite the challenges, she always remained steadfast to her faith, believing in the Lord's promises and choosing to praise Him in the midst of the storm.

Her trust and hope in God were an inspiration to all of us and she reminded us daily that even in the hardest moments, faith in Jesus is all that is needed for any trial.

She is survived by her husband, Joel Ramos; son, Eli Ramos; brothers, Adrian Gomez and wife Monica, Daniel Gomez and wife Lupita and Alan Gomez; parents, Jose and Dulce Gomez; parents-in-law, Ray and Ana Ramos; brother-in laws, Salvador Ramos and wife Sarah, David Ramos and wife Iris, Josh Ramos and Nathan Ramos, all of Amarillo; sister-in-law, Ana Laura Perez of California and Paternal grandfather, Angel Gomez.
