It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kazimierz Drezek, known to many as "Casey," who left us on November 21, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on July 5, 1958, KZ lived a vibrant life filled with laughter, music, and love. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marian and Sofia Drezek, his wife Sandra Gay Drezek, and his son Scott Childress, along with three brothers and a sister.
Casey is survived by his daughter Tara Martinez and her husband Derrick, his son Kelley Green and his wife Stephanie, and his sister Harriet Schorsch and her husband Steve. He also leaves behind his brother Rick Drezek and wife Ollie, and a cherished bunch of grandchildren: Alyssa Green, Raylee Roberson, Rayna Keesee, Hannah Fitzsimmons, Reese Green, Jada Green, Kiersen Green, Kennedy Fitzsimmons, and Saylor McHaney.
Growing up in Chicago, Casey developed a zest for life that never faded. He married Sandra on August 22, 1985, and together they had a family filled with memories, love, and of course, delicious chocolate pie! A true music lover, he could often be found strumming his guitar and playing harmonica to his favorite classic rock tunes. Casey was passionate about all things Chicago sports, always rooting for his teams with the heart of a true fan.
Casey loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, and socializing. He had a knack for collecting antiques, which reflected his appreciation for the past. And let's not forget his love for animals; they brought him endless joy.
Rest in peace, Casey. You'll be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
