Kimberly Dawn (Davis) Shipman entered eternal rest on September 15th, 2024 at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo TX at the age of 44, just one week shy of her 45th birthday. Kim (as she was known) was born on September 22, 1979 to Jerry Davis and Cheryl (Poe-Davis) Baldwin in Dumas TX. Kim was married to David Shipman; they later divorced. Together they have one teenage son.

Kimberly is survived by her son, Trenton Clay Shipman of Amarillo TX; one brother Trevor Wayne Davis and her mother Cheryl Baldwin, both of Sanford TX. While it may not be customary to list Aunts and Uncles, etc. in an obituary, there was nothing customary about Kim's life. Kim had a special connection with her Aunt Angel (Poe) Fasulo of Zurich KS. Between them they felt like twins even though they were 10 years apart. They absolutely were kindred spirits. Kim has several family members who love and miss her tremendously.

Kim is preceded in death by her infant son Cameron, her beloved father Jerry Davis, step-father Cliff Baldwin and maternal grandparents Lafe D. Poe, Ruth A. Post and Doyle L. Post. Many more on both sides of her family whose memories will never fade.

Our Kimmy (as those closest to her called her) will always be remembered for loving her son Trent (whom God finally blessed her with) and her big dogs Brutus and Brynlee. She was a LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse); the residents that she cared for, just loved her and are missing her terribly. Kim had a wonderful group of co-workers who she had a lot of fun with and worked well together with, also. However, the void from losing her Dad years ago, she just could not fill. Sadly, her pain from that void became overwhelming.
