Obituary

Kitty Louise Brown, affectionately known as Miss Kitty, passed away on July 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in her hometown of Amarillo, Texas. Born to Paul and Verle Brown on April 12, 1941, she was and still is a ray of light that outshines the sun in the community she loved dearly.

Kitty was a cherished member of the Brown and Rosas family. Sister to Frank (Nelda) Brown, and Sister-in-law to, Lupe (Antionio) Rosas, Manuel (Juanita) Rosas, Ray (Piedad) Rosas, Chole (Lan) Solis, Juanita (Clemente) Solis. In 1970 she married Jospeh (Joe) Rosas at St. Joesph Church in Pekin, Illinois, Kitty and Joe were married for 29 years.

A graduate of Palo Duro High School in 1959, Kitty went on to attend LVN school in Pekin, Illinois. For over 30 years Kitty worked as an exceptional LVN, at St. Anthony's Hospital, BSA, and Northwest Texas Hospital, demonstrating love and passion, for each patient she cared for. After retiring from the medical field, you could find Kitty working as a cashier at Walmart, where she worked for over 25 years. The family would like to express their gratitude to Miss Kitty's Walmart customers, who stood in a long check out line, to chat with Miss Kitty daily.

Kitty's love extended to her 3 children, Paula (Lonnie) Hymers, Juanita (Rudy) Alexander, and Richard (Kasha) Rosas. Kitty is remembered for her fun-loving nurturing soul, always ready with a comforting word, engaging story, and love for life.

Kitty's grandchildren, Megan, Kris, John, Rychard, Haylee, Steven, Rachell, along with her great grandchildren, Nicholas Joseph and Lily Ann, forever carry her legacy of kindness and joy.
Predeceased by her loving husband Joe, parents who she cherished, Paul and Verle Brown, a wonderful brother, Frank (Nelda) Brown, and greatly loved daughter in law Kasha Rosas.
Miss Kitty had the deepest love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. At a very young age, Kitty committed her life as a pronounced saved and born-again Christian, her faith in the Lord ran deep. "So that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit" Colossians 1:10.

Miss Kitty's hobbies include travel, Bingo, a tremendous love for animals, and cheering on the one and only The Punisher Shane Garrett.

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Kitty Louise Rosas will be held Friday Aug 2, 2024, at 2:pm at First Family Church 6101 S. Bell St. Amarillo Tx 79109. A reception will be held at First Family Church after the service.

Miss Kitty will be deeply missed, however her spirt will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know and love her.
