Kortney Diane Hawthorne, 30, of Amarillo, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

Kortney was born on November 4, 1993 in Pampa, Texas to Kenneth Hawthorne Sr. and Arminda Scott.
She cherished spending time and playing with her beloved nieces and nephews. Kortney enjoyed singing and was a diehard football fan. She was always a joy to be around with her beautiful smile and loving personality. Kortney was extremely smart. She had just accomplished her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and was working towards her Master's Degree prior to her passing.

Kortney was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Hawthorne Sr.; two aunts, Glenda Bryan and Lorreta "Jean" Carter; two uncles, Robert Williams and Squeaky;

She is survived by her mom, Arminda Scott and step-dad Jonny Scott of Amarillo; two brothers, Kenneth Hawthorne Jr, and wife Tessa of Mineral Wells; Shawn Hawthorne and wife Brianna of Amarillo; a nephew, Josiyah Hawthorne and two nieces, "G" Raven Hawthorne and Aleigah Hawthorne.
