Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Layne Allen Hebert, who left us on December 14th, 2025, at the age of 58 at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX. Born on March, 14th, 1967, in Grand Forks County, ND to Paul and Oma Hebert, Layne graduated from Larimore High School in 1985. Layne moved to Iowa where he met his 1st wife Amy West and had his two children, Zachery Hebert and DeLayne Hebert (Carrington).

Layne was a man with many skills and worked for various employers over the years. He was a sandblaster, painted many water towers, worked on many oil rigs before settling down and working at a hotel doing maintenance in Pampa, TX. His jobs brought him all over the US and he loved a good road trip. Everyone who knew him said he was a hard working man. He was a man who'd help anyone with many different tasks. If he didn't know how to do it, he faked it really well.

He leaves behind his girlfriend, Angela Hope; son Zach Hebert & Daughter DeLayne (Daniel) Carrington. Grandchildren Christopher and Maddox Hebert, Matthew, Eliza and Lily Carrington. Siblings Catharine Burley, and Anita (Orion) Sanda, Wallace Hebert, Paul Bryon Hebert, Wayde (Monica) Hebert. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Paul and Oma Hebert.

His crazy antics and goofy self will be missed by many. We ask that you celebrate accordingly in his remembrance, whatever that may mean to you.
