Leslie was born on September 15, 1980 to Jimmie and Karen Porter in Amarillo. She was raised in Amarillo, where she graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1999. She then attended Amarillo College, receiving her Associate's Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at various hospitals and nursing homes throughout Amarillo. She enjoyed traveling with her family, going to the water park and camping at the lake as often as possible. She married Ward Stratton on September 9, 2014. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandbabies. She liked to crochet and put together puzzles as well as play card games with her grandmother and other family members.

Leslie is survived by her husband, Ward Stratton of Amarillo; parents, Jimmie and Karen Porter of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Porshe Arial Stratton and Cindy Porter of Amarillo; brother, Sean Porter and wife Sky of White Deer; sister, Velva Fitzpatrick and husband Ralph of Panhandle and 2 grandchildren, Ana Lisa Rose Porter and Elijah Eugene Porter.
