Obituary

Linda was born in Hobbs, New Mexico to both Albert and Jean Runnels in January 19, 1951. A graduate of Lubbock High School in 1969, she was employed with Corporate Systems and AIG for many years. Linda was a loyal and fervent citizen to her country, and always displayed the spirit of U.S. patriotism wherever she went. The love Linda had for Elvis Presley was legendary, and she reveled in the timeless melodies of the King, showcasing a collection that would've made any Elvis fan awe. If you thought her Elvis collection was impressive, Linda's physical media movie collection would've had those around her thinking she was a professional film buff.

Most of all though, Linda was a selfless and compassionate individual who exemplified the essence of familial love, and she displayed that by being a full-time caretaker for her dearly loved mother. Linda is preceded in death by her fur-babies (Kris, Wanda, Karlee, Baylee), her father (Albert Runnels), her grandparents (George and Stella Runnels, and Gene and Annie Dalmont), her uncle (Orville Dalmont), and two aunts (Glenna Mae Warren and Ardena Matthews). She is survived by her mother (Jean Runnels), brother (Weldon Runnels), four nieces (Michelle, Angie, Tonya, and Maegan), many cousins, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
