Obituary

Margaret was born on January 17, 1938 in Lubbock to Ezra and Gladys Parker. She was raised in Lubbock, where she attended Carol Thompson Junior High School and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1956. She attended South Plains College, where she received her Licensed Vocational Nurse degree. She worked for Covenant Healthcare Systems for many years before working in home health until her retirement in 2010. She was very social and outgoing and enjoyed talking to anyone, as she never met a stranger. Margaret enjoyed reading and tending to her flower garden and was a wonderful cook. Above all, she loved being a mother and cherished being "Gigi" and "Grandmom" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Paul Parker Uhlig and wife Danida of Virginia Beach, VA and Richard Allen Uhlig of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Cynthia Robison and husband David and Missy Castleman and husband Danny, all of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren, James Uhlig and Christopher Uhlig, Aspen Skyy Uhlig, Luke Allen Castleman, Grace Anne Castleman, Micah Daniel Castleman and Levi Parker Castleman; 11 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; close cousin Becca Kirkpatrick and numerous other cousins.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Allen LaRue Parker.
