Martha Anna Lovelady Lawrence, born on July 7, 1943, peacefully departed this life on August 15, 2025, at the age of 82. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Clara Martin, her two husbands, Marvin "Buddy" Lovelady and Gary Lawrence, her cherished daughter, Holly Lovelady, her son, Chris Lovelady, her grandson, Shaun Wilson, and four sisters. She is lovingly remembered and survived by her daughter, Nancy Blackwelder and her husband Richard, her son, Brian Lovelady and his wife Rhonda, her favorite granddaughter, Angelina Lovelady, and several additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Martha is also survived by her two sisters, Jo Anne Ross and Joy Powers, and her husband James.
Martha loved life deeply and found joy in dancing and listening to old country music. She treasured Sunday BBQs with her daughter and was greatly engaged with her faith and spirituality, demonstrating resilience and a strong spirit in her fight for life.
Celebration of life services in honor of Martha Lawrence will be held at a later date
