Martin Castillo Morales, 56, passed away on August 5, 2026 at a local care facility.

He was born on November 28, 1969 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Trinidad and Ermelinda Morales.

Martin was a jack of all trades, he never met a project he couldn’t tackle. No idle hands were to be had when he was around and would often do mechanic work with his son after working his full time construction job during the day. To his family he was the best handy man to have around. He loved Spanish music and you would often hear that playing while he was completing projects.

He is survived by his loving wife; Teresa Castillo of Amarillo, his daughter; Rosaicela Martinez and husband Michael of Amarillo, his son; Daniel Campos and wife Leslie of Amarillo, sisters; Rosa Chairez of Cactus, Alma Castillo of Cactus, and Tere Castillo and husband Pete of Borger, brother; Javier Castillo and wife Litcha of Cactus, his father; Trinidad Castillo of Cactus, and his four wonderful grandchildren.

Martin is preceded in death by his mother.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. at Shafer Mortuary Funeral Home of Amarillo.
