Martin Chacon, 57, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. He was born on February 20, 1967 in Meoqui Chihuahua to Manuel Chacon and Maria De los Angeles Garcia.
Martin, at the age of 21, married Graciela (Prieto) Chacon in Meoqui Chihuahua. He moved to Amarillo when he was 16 years old. Martin learned to drive at 8 years old, so he could take his mom to do errands. His first truck he drove was called "La paty!" Martin was a very nice person, who was always joking around with friends and family. He loved to cook and spend time with his beloved family. Martin lived and cared for them, until his last breathe. He was a hard and talented worker, from building towers in different states to working in meat plants. Martin was never shy about doing any job including selling burritos and menudo. He had a company named Chacon's Roadside Service and his trucking company called UOC Trucking. Martin had many nicknames including; Chihuahua, Chabela, Gordito, Chacon and Chihuas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Chacon and Maria De los Angeles Garcia; three brothers, Francisco Chacon, Manuel Chacon and Ramon Chacon.
Martin is survived by his wife, Graciela Chacon; a son, Uriel Chacon; a daughter, Veronica Chacon all of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, Lorenzo Chacon of Meoqui Chihuahua, Isidro Chacon of Friona, TX, two sisters, Estele Chacon of Meoqui Chihuahua and Teresa Olivas of Amarillo, TX and many nieces and nephews.
