Melba Jean Crofford, 98, of Amarillo passed into glory on November 30, 2024.

Melba was born on November 6, 1926 in Webb City, OK to Franklin and Cecilia Pope. She married the love of her life, Jimmie L. Crofford on January 12, 1971 in Eureka Springs, AR. Jimmie preceded her in death on February 20, 2010. Melba was a devout Christian, devoting herself fully to the Lord, as well as her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She and her husband traveled throughout the country ministering to all they came in contact with and at countless church conferences. Those who knew her, knew her always to be a shoulder to lean on and Melba had countless friends. She will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.

Melba is survived by 2 daughters, Coleen Bain and husband Leo of Burbank, OK and Renee Cushman and husband David of Amarillo; 2 sons, Bob Patteson and wife Connie of Willis, TX and Jimmie Christopher Crofford and wife Mary R. of Amarillo; 2 step-sons, Donald Crofford and wife Greta and Darrell Crofford and wife Kathie, all of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Alma Dean Cline; one brother, S.T. Pope and husband Jimmie L. Crofford.
