Michael Nathaniel Flaco, 21, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Shafer Mortuary Services Gathering Center, 308 S. Bivins. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. The family will gather for visitation at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Shafer Gathering Center.

Michael was born on May 14, 2002 in Amarillo to Ivan Flaco and Jessica Cruz. He was raised in Amarillo, where he attended Tascosa High School. He worked at Walmart, where he had many friends. Michael was known to be a jokester, with a contagious smile who could light up a room with his familiar giggle. He enjoyed listening to music, hanging out with his brother and playing video games. He was an avid LeBron James fan, but most of all a fan of his family.

Michael is survived by his mother, Jessica Cruz of Amarillo; father, Ivan Flaco of Mexico; 2 sisters, Jasmine Flaco and partner, Matthew Mendoza of Amarillo and Rihanna "Riri" Flaco of Tulia; brother, Joel Cruz of Amarillo; grandparents, Mary Cruz and Julio Rios of Amarillo; great grandparents, Martha and David Cruz of Tulia; 2 uncles, Rudy Cruz and wife Gloria of Amarillo and Oscar Saldana of Odessa and many cousins who will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
