James 1:12: "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him."
Mike Phillips passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025. He was a native of Amarillo, Texas, and was recently a resident of Childress, Texas for many years. Mike was a builder and an inventor, and dreamed of changing the world with his machines. He was also lover of nature, art and music, and made many beautiful songs and sculptures. He imparted that love to his children, who will carry it well beyond his years.
Mike wrote his last song a few months before he passed away. The song is titled, "This is He".
Every soul that's in this place is loved
Poured out by His grace from up above
Jesus is Lord
And I'm glad my soul is firmly in His hand
He's the one that made the blind to see
Made the lame walk good as you and me
Jesus is Lord
And He's knocking at our hearts to let Him in
He carried and old cross to Calvary
They nailed him to that cross for us to see
He died upon that cross for you and me
Jesus is Lord
Look up, you can almost see His face
Listen, you can almost hear his voice
Jesus is Lord
Where two or more are gathered in His name
This is He
For ever He'll be
He's Jesus
Loving you and me
