Michael L. "Mike" Reynolds, beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend, passed away on June 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love. Born on June 13, 1961, to Cecil and Mary Jo Reynolds, Mike was the oldest of three boys.
He graduated from McLean High School and went on to attend Clarendon College. Mike built a long and respected career as a business owner, heavy equipment hauler and diesel mechanic—professions that matched his strong work ethic and practical skill. Mike was a mentor to many throughout his time on earth.
Mike was a longtime member of Crosswinds Community Church in Hobbs, NM. Where he was active as a deacon, a leader in both the men's ministry, church outreaches, and the children's ministry.
Recently, Mike moved to Kilgore, Texas, to live his best life, spending his days doing what he loved most: fishing. Whether it was on the water with a pole in hand or swapping stories with loved ones on the phone, Mike was truly in his element.
He is survived by his daughters, Rachel and Cristal; his grandchildren, Kaymie, Kyle, Haylie, and Hadley; his brothers, Dudley (wife Kenney) and Mitch (wife Jackie); many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will all miss him dearly.
We will all miss his unforgettable "quality windshield telephone calls," filled with stories, laughter, and the steady rhythm of the open road in the background. His voice, his humor, and his love for his family and friends will remain with all of us always.
A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Coleman, located at 200 E. College Ave., Coleman, TX 76834. A reception will follow at the Lake Coleman Fire Department, 141 Scenic Dr. Coleman, TX 76834.
In his final weeks, Mike was surrounded by many loving family members and friends, a testament to the life and relationships he built over the years. Though Mike has left this world, his memory lives on in every story told, every fishing line cast, and every road traveled.
