Mildred Mae Miller, 90, of Amarillo passed away on June 18, 2024. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at New Life Church with Rev. Paul Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mildred was born on April 30, 1934 in St. Jo, TX to Arlie and Lola Mae Dunn. She was raised in Happy, where she graduated in 1952. She then married R. C. Miller in 1958. He preceded her in death in 2017. In her younger years, Mildred worked for Lerners Department Store as well as Russell Stovers. She dedicated the majority of her life to caring for her husband, daughter and grandchildren. Known as Nana to her grandchildren and great children, Mildred always offered dark chocolate and almonds to the grandchildren and great grandchildren, and the sound of Wheel of Fortune could always be heard playing in the background. She enjoyed word searches and cross stitch as she was able and enjoyed volunteering at the annual Southwestern Bell Telephone "Pioneers" picnic.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Becky Beard and husband, Benny of Amarillo; 3 grandchildren, Shonda Houston and husband John of Jeffersonville, IN, Jennifer Montgomery and fiancé Jim Cain of Amarillo and Kim Akins and husband Jay of Amarillo; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Paul Dunn in 2004.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch or to Make a Wish.
