Nela was born on December 19, 1955 in Amarillo to George and Roberta Rook. Nela loved her family and her Dogs, Teddy, Big Ear and Ugly Baby "Bubba." She loved to go out dancing and enjoyed being at home, gardening and cooking. Most of all, Nela loved God and it showed in all she did.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Anthony Clement of Amarillo; daughter, Melanie Rook of Fort Lauderdale, FL; step-son, Tony Clement and wife Kerry; step-daughter, Sallie Portillo; sisters, Kathy Bybee and husband Lonnie of Potwin, KS and Teresa Stevens and husband Mark of Amarillo; brothers, George and Irma Rook of Rocksprings, TX and Kevin Rook of Dallas; grandchildren, Cory and wife Diamond Clement, Kristen, Kaitlyn and Bailey Clement, and Andrew and Brianna Portillo; great grandchild, Jayce Clement; nieces and nephews, Renee and Patrick Bybee, Trey, Chris and Vanessa Rook and Arther "Bubba" Stevens; brother and sister-in-laws, Carol Dean of Plano, Kathy Black of Amarillo, Janet and husband Jack Davis of Ansel, TX, Pamela Gibson, Monica Scott; Geri Toniolli and husband Jimmy and Donald Clement, all of Amarillo as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews left to cherish her memory.

Nela was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gina Meshell, Ginger Rook and her beloved son, Shaun Rook.
