Obituary

Nichelle Dendy, born on January 4, 1969, in Ft. Worth, Texas, passed away after a long hard fight with Breast Cancer; on November 3, 2025, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love and resilience. She was a devoted mother, cherished sister, and beloved friend, remembered for her unwavering spirit and infectious sense of humor.

Nichelle is survived by her daughter, Jade Myles and husband Justin; Danielle Dendy and husband Ben Morrison, Destiny Dendy, Preston Dendy, Dustin Dendy and wife Clarissa. She is also survived by her brother, Derek Vaughan, and his wife, Haley. Nichelle held a special place in her heart for her
grandchildren: Jeremy, Jesse James, Brylee, Anniston, Kamryn, Brandon, Ryan, Wyatt, Grace, Jack, and Eliana and step sons Ronnie Mayfield, Steven Mayfield, and Trey Mayfield and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doug Dendy, and her parents, Denzil and Carolyn Vaughan. Step Son Michael Mayfield.

Nichelle was a proud alumni of Plainview and Amarillo High Schools, where she set track and basketball records, showcasing her athletic prowess and love for the outdoors. She earned her degree in nursing from Amarillo College, a field she chose to dedicate herself to caring for others, inspired by her desire to care for her mother. Nichelle's bright blue eyes reflected her vibrant personality, and she possessed a magnetic charm that drew people to her. She enjoyed riding her bike, basking in the sun, and spending quality time watching movies from Redbox with her children.

Nichelle will be remembered not only for her nurturing nature but also for her resilience and strength. Her ability to connect with people was remarkable, and she built an extensive network of friends who admired her tenacity and warmth.

Funeral services to celebrate Nichelle's life will be held at 2:00PM Saturday November 8th 2025 at Washington Ave Christian Church; 3800 S. Washington St. Amarillo, TX 79110
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
