Obituary

Nickolas was born January 1, 1982, to Fidencio Guzman, Julia G. Guzman. Nickolas was one of the last deliveries at Pamer County Hospital in Friona TX.

He was raised in Friona, TX and attended Friona Schools. He moved to Canyon, TX 1999. He attended Amarillo College. He was a cook for El Patio in Canyon. He later worked for TSA and then U.S Customs and Border Protection, however he was best known for being a "Jack of all Trades". He never met a project he wasn't willing to take on, and he was well known within the community for his commitment to making sure each project was completed with care. In the eyes of the people that loved him and knew him, he was a genius. His love for cars started when he was young, seeing as he enjoyed working on audio systems for vehicles even as a child. He was an exceptional mechanic; he could hear a vehicle coming down the street and immediately tell you what was wrong with it. He was a fair and open-minded person, and always ready and willing to help others, even strangers, with no reservation. He was truly the type of man to give you the shirt off his back. Some of his hobbies were fishing and collecting knives. He loved to go treasure hunting for things that others no longer wanted. He found use and value in things that most people would not even think to take a second look at. He was a tinkerer, he created things from junk like making a dragon fly from a spark plug, or jewelry out of forks and knives. He was generous, with a great big heart and a great sense of humor. He always had a "nickname" for everyone he cared for. Nick was frequently seen wearing his classic outfit of shorts and a t-shirt, never without his favorite pair of Oakley sunglasses, ready to take on the adventures that day held. His biggest prize possession was his children, he was an incredible father, and an active dad in his children's lives. From shopping with Oakley and park outings, to football games for Nick and Noah. His ride or die buddy is Oakley and his mom Julia. He was such a patient and devoted father to Oakley and his boys, and always gave good advice. The principles and morals he stood upon can be seen through his children, who continue to carry forward his legacy of kindness, integrity, and an unwavering dedication to their family, just as he always did. Nickolas was a beloved son, youngest brother and favorite (Uncle) Tio. We will always carry our memories forever in all our hearts of Nick. We love you.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fidencio Guzman; grandparents, Victor and Candida Guzman and a baby brother, Juanito Guzman.

Nickolas is survived by his mom, Julia Garza Guzman; two daughters, Angelina Nicole Guzman and Oakley Julia Guzman both of Amarillo, TX; 2 sons, Nickolas Angel Guzman and Noah Angel Guzman both of Amarillo, TX; parents, a sister, Vicki Guzman Snead of Amarillo, TX; three brothers, Federico Aurelio Salinas III of Las Cruces, NM, Victor Guzman of San Antonio, TX and Felix Guzman of Amarillo, TX; his brother-in-law, Matthew Brian Snead of Amarillo, TX; and his "special" secret family, Jose, Irma, Issa and family; V, Melinda, Ava and Christian; Vince, CuCa and their family; good friend, Ernie Espara and caregivers for Oakley, One Salinas and Aida Salinas.
