It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patti Yvonne Hayworth, who departed this life on May 4, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of 67. Born on March 3, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas, Patti was a cherished daughter of Betty Ottaway and the late Pat Nickels and Bob Ottaway.
Patti was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Laura Marsh Nickels, Dad, Bob Ottaway and her nephew, Jordan Ottaway. She is survived by her son, Dalton Hayworth (Kinda), and her cherished grandchildren, Rorlk, Wraithe, and Eryss. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her mother, Betty Ottaway, sisters, Coreen Jury (Larry), Dana Valdez (Victor), and her brothers Woody Nickels (Lana), Rick Ottaway (Susan), and Mark Ottaway (Pamela).
Patti will also be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews: Amber Carrender (Luke), Shannan Wray, Sabra Schmidt (Blake), Kelsey Reid (Andrew), Jesse Nickels (Loren), Michael Ottaway (Jenine), Zachary Jury, Daniel Jury (Ambrosia), Jerrad Jury (Hannah), and Hunter Brown.
Patti grew up in the Panhandle of Oklahoma, residing in Adams and Tyrone before her family relocated to Kansas City in 1972. She graduated from Turner High School in 1977 and furthered her education by attending Mission Beauty Academy, graduating in 1990. After returning to the Panhandle, she opened her own barber and beauty shop in Hooker, Oklahoma, where she made lasting connections within her community. Patti lived in Kansas City until 2005, before settling in Hooker and Guymon, Oklahoma.
Memorial services for Patti Yvonne Hayworth will be held on July 11th, 2026, at 2:00PM at First Christian Church, Johns St, Hooker, OK 73945. Her family invites all who knew and loved Patti to join in honoring her life and the impact she made on those around her.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember Patti for her warmth, resilience, and the love she shared with us all. May she rest in peace.
