Paul was born on September 27, 1953 in Amarillo to J.D. and Arline Caproni. He was raised in Amarillo,
where he played the trumpet in the band and graduated in 1972. He then enrolled at Amarillo College
for welding, before beginning his career at Tiernan Aeration. He worked there for over 40 years, retiring in December 2019. He married Michele Oldfather on May 9 th , 1975. She preceded him in death in Oct
7 th 1993. Paul loved anything and everything racing! He spent many weekends at the dirt track, racing
midget and winged cars. He enjoyed traveling, much of the time to different race tracks. He and his
family took trips to Red River as often as possible. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading westerns, Tom
Clancy and Kathy Riechs and was a history buff. More than anything, Paul cherished being Papa Paul to
his grandkids.

Paul is survived by 2 daughters, Larissa Marquardt and husband John and Samantha Davis and husband
Sterling; sister, Pam White and husband Mike; grandchildren, Kyla, Shane and Mark Holley and Brianna
and Brooklynn Davis and nephews, Brent and Gary Beavers, all of Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Michele Caproni and grandson, Baily Davis.
