Richard Eugene Hodges, 67, of Amarillo passed away on January 7, 2025. Richard was born on December 2, 1957 in Borger, TX to Louis and Juanita Hodges. He lived in several towns throughout the Panhandle, including: Borger, Fritch, Canyon, Amarillo and Dalhart. He was very outgoing and social, a characteristic that helped him working in auto part sales most of his life. He worked for Ben E. Keith, CAT in Dalhart, Kubota, Mission Auto, A & I Autoparts and most recently Truckpro.

Richard was known to be a jokester, always making people laugh. He married wife Nannette on October 10, 2010 in Dalhart. The two of them shared many memories and loved going country western dancing.
Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother to his family.

He is survived by his wife, Nannette Hodges of Amarillo; daughter, Sarah Blair and husband Aaron of Stephenville, TX; son, Brad Hodges and wife Meera of Waco; step-son, Travis Dollar and wife Sara of Dalhart; 2 sisters, Becky Clark and husband Bobby of Amarillo and Jeanette Ryan and husband Joe of Graham, TX; brother, John Hodges and wife Carolyn of Amarillo; grandchildren, Lilibeth Hodges, Nathaniel Hodges, Jadyn Momtero and husband Fredy and Conallon Cortez and his beloved dog, Scruffy.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lanette and Glenda Hodges and brother, Robert Hodges
