Rita Joyce Harris, 69, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Rita was born on November 29, 1954 in Brownfield, Texas to Ervin and Opal (Dollar) Mason. She later relocated with her family to Pampa, Texas where she grew up. Rita was one of 10 kids to Ervin and Opal Mason. She was a very kind and loving person. Rita would give anyone whatever she had to help them, even if it meant she did without. In her younger years Rita enjoyed outdoor life, camping, fishing, boating and working in her beloved yard and flowerbeds. She enjoyed her solitude at home with her cats while watching TV and drinking a cold one.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Katrina Anders and husband Dave; two sons, Kenney Mayhue and wife Reyleen and Kevin Mayhue; three brothers, Kenneth Mason, Dwain Mason and Jackie Mason; one sister, Carolyn Sells; nine grandkids and three great-grandkids.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Ervin and Opal Mason; two brothers, Geril Mason and Don Mason and three sisters, Rebecca Bradley, Kathy Hatcher and Marie Sells.
