Robert was born on November 10, 1972 in Edison, NJ to Robert Sr. and Karan Porter. He was raised in East Brunswick, NJ, graduating from East Brunswick Votech. On July 11, 2018, he married his love, Deana. The two of them shared many memories throughout the years. Robert was a hard worker, and was employed as a heavy equipment operator at Blatner Energy for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Deana Porter of San Angelo, TX; 2 daughters, Brianna Herman and husband Andrew and Angellica Curtin and husband Thomas; 3 sons, Charlie Porter, Justice Saggau and wife Mikaila and John Saggau and wife Ashlyn; parents, Karan Oleckna and husband Ken and Robert Porter, Sr.; 9 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Virginia Maul; nephews, Trenton Porter and Nikolas Porter-Oleckna and many more nieces, nephews and Aunts and Uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Elsie Porter; maternal grandparents, Chuck and Jean Cooper; brother, Steven Porter; daughter, Amariyah Porter and father-in-law, Robert Maul.
