Obituary

Rodney Owen Grove, 68, of Tulia, Texas, went home to be with his Lord on November 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and the quiet strength of his lifelong faith.
Born September 3, 1957, Rodney lived a full and generous life. He spent years working on Naval ships and later with CAT truck scales, always proud of an honest day's work. In his driveway he was just as much at home with a wrench in his hand, turning wrenches on cars for family and friends. Few things made him happier than hearing an engine fire up. What truly mattered most to Rodney, though was fixing what was broken, listening when someone needed to talk, and making everyone feel like they belonged
Rodney was a devoted husband, father, and Papa whose greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Stacy Grove; his children Ryan, Amy, Randy (Sarah), and Kelly; his stepchildren Holly (Randy), Heather, Sharmai (David), and Robert (Saira); and a houseful of 11 grandchildren who were the light of his life.
He was survived by his siblings Gwen, Tamara, Clint and preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Grove and Janice Maples.
A man of deep Christian faith, Rodney didn't just talk about loving others—he lived it every day with kindness, humor, and an open heart. Tulia is quieter without his laugh, but heaven is brighter because he's home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness in his memory—something Rodney did naturally.
We love you, Hot Rod. Thank you for showing us how to live and how to love. See you soon. ❤️
