Ronnie Duane Simonds was born on January 22, 1953 in Amarillo, TX at the Northwest Texas Hospital. He shed his failing physical body and put on his eternal spiritual body to join the chorus around God's throne on December 24, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jennie May Simonds, as well as his 5 year old sister Juanita Fay Simonds. He is survived by his aunt Patsy Bunch of Amarillo, a few cousins, and some close church friends who will cherish knowing him.

Ronnie lived in Amarillo his entire life and worked on the maintenance crew at AISD for a period of time. He also held a job at the Texas Panhandle Kennel Club where he loved working with the show dogs.

Ronnie was a believer in Jesus Christ, and was baptized in 2019. He loved greeting at the back auditorium door of Hillside CC NW Campus. He considered his church his second family and he was always concerned when he couldn't be at the doors greeting because of his health. When he could be there, you knew he would welcome you with a smile and warm hello.

Ronnie was a precious child of God who will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
