Rosa Belle Almanzar Solis

July 22, 1928 – September 18, 2025

Rosa Belle Almanzar Solis, 97, of Amarillo Texas, passed away surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 22, 1928, in Mosquero, New Mexico, to Enrique and Beatrice Almanzar.
Rosa married the love of her life, Silberio R. Solis Sr., on November 12, 1947, and together they built a beautiful life and a large, loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her daughter Sylvia Solis, and her son Silberio Solis Jr.

She is survived by her children: Jesusita and husband Daniel Marez, Esther Molina, Margie Atteberry, Danny and wife Cynthia Solis, Larry and wife Karen Solis, Rebecca and husband Patrick Adkins of Mora, NM, Robert and wife Connie Solis

Rosa was the proud matriarch of eight children, 28 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a cherished aunt to more than one hundred nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings Mary and Dave Shingley of Wyoming, Lita Maestas of Colorado, Helen and Gilbert Choya of California, Katie and Walter Pearson of Missouri, Dominga Almanzar of Amarillo, Mary Almanzar of Amarillo, and brothers Willie Vasquez and Tony Almanzar.

Rosa was a woman of deep faith, unwavering strength, and unconditional love. She was known for her generous spirit, her warm kitchen, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. To know Rosa was to be loved by her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and compassion that will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Rosa will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and countless friends who were touched by her kindness.
