Shanna Gail Gonzales unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, July 21st, 2026 in Amarillo, TX. She was born on December 18th, 1965 in Amarillo, TX to Carol Jean McClain. 

Shanna built her life with her faith in the Lord by reading and studying scripture daily. She also enjoyed researching genealogy and connecting families together. She loved her animals dearly; loved bird-watching and spending time outdoors doing gardening, lawn work, and life at the lake. 

Shanna is preceded in death by her mother Jean McClain, and her grandparents, Doris and Frank Sumrall.

Shanna is survived by her husband Martin Gonzales; her step-children, Christopher Gonzales, Stephanie Baker, Johnnie Gonzales, and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-father Billy (Deanah) McClain, her siblings, Gini (Anthony) Flores, and Chris (Misty) McClain. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 25th, 2026 at the Memorial Park East Mausoleum chapel, at 10:00 am at 6969 E Interstate 40 Access Road in Amarillo, TX.
