Sharmin May (Antel) Harp, 52, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was born in Amarillo, Texas on March 15, 1973 to Dennis Antel and Barbara (Rutledge) Antel.

Sharmin graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1991 and went on to continue her education at Amarillo College, where she received her Licensed Vocational Nursing Degree. She married the love of her life, Aurelio Harp on March 1, 2007 and they shared 18 amazing years of marriage.

Sharmin was a lover and advocate of animals, especially dogs. She worked very hard and overcame many obstacles to earn her LVN license. Sharmin loved her family very much and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Antel; father-in-law, James Harp; sister-in-law, Araceli Diaz de la Rosa and her beloved dog, Rocket.

Sharmin is survived by her husband, Aurelio Harp; father, Dennis Antel; brother, Denny Antel and wife Christina; mother-in-law, Ofelia De la Rosa Lopez; brother-in-law, Carlos Harp and wife Mary Elizabeth; two nephews, Antonio Manuel Jones and Nahdeem Ali Bel El, and her beloved pet dog, Maya.
