Shaylee Rene Rachels, 28, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026.

She was born on November 11, 1997 in Amarillo, Texas to Jennifer Rachels and Ty Robertson.

Shaylee’s sense of humor, smile and laughter will be remembered by all who knew her. Standing at around 6 feet tall some may have considered her intimidating while others knew that if she stood in your corner she was going to be there for you no matter what. Shaylee was tough as nails, strong willed, determined, and most importantly resilient. A wonderful mother to her children, adored by her grandparents, and the first grandbaby on her mothers side. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Shaylee is survived by her daughters; Amaria Rachels of Canyon and Naomi David of Jarrell, her son; Brendan Rachels of Canyon, sister; Murphey Robertson of Lubbock, brothers; Jaden and Ethan Rachels of Canyon, parents; Jennifer and Tandon Tipton of Canyon and Ty and Presley Robertson of Lubbock, grandmother; Chris Flores of Amarillo, aunts and uncles; Scott and Holly Rachels of Wimberley, Jonna and Curtis Neeley of Amarillo, Lisa Cartrite and Ronnie Robertson.

She Is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Robert and Brenda Rachels.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 2:30-4:30pm at Shafer Mortuary Funeral Home. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 10am at Shafer Mortuary Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray, Texas at 1:30pm.

Pallbearers will be Tandon Tipton, Scott Rachels, Jaden Rachels, Chris Roles, McKinley Hester, and Kason Scroggins.

Services are under the direction of Shafer Mortuary Funeral Home at 1502 S. Cleveland Street, Amarillo, Texas 79102.
