Silvia Zapata, 62, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. She was born on March 26, 1963 in Tulia, Texas to Inez Zapata and Mercedez (Rosales) Zapata. Silvia enjoyed being outdoors and especially enjoyed the winter time. She loved traveling, going to church and most of all spending time with her amazing family. Silvia was a tough woman with a heart and soul of gold, who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She cherished spending time with her family and dancing with her grandkids, who she loved more than life itself. Silvia will be missed by all of her children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and her entire family. However, they all know she is in a better place and not suffering anymore. And with all their heart they say "WE LOVE YOU MOM!"

She was preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Mercedez Zapata; a sister, Gloria Zapata and two brothers, Raul Zapata and Jesus Zapata.

Silva is survived by three daughters, Lucinda Flores and husband Jose, Stacey Perez and Stephanie Perez; two brothers, Joshua Perez and Shabir Jiwa with Shabir's father, Esmail Jiwa; two sisters, Connie Zapata and Alicia Zapata; three brothers, David Zapata, Daniel Zapata and Joe Zapata; 25 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved dearly.
