Stephen Dale Paulk, 73, of Amarillo, Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at a local hospital. He was born on September, 6, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to the late Ira and Winnie Tex Elmore Paulk.

Stephen loved OU football. He held a special place in his heart for his beloved cat and will always be remembered for his infamous “one penny” birthday cards.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephenie Frey and Tiffenie Paulk-Roybal of Amarillo; son, Michael Paulk of Amarillo; sister, Iris Bishop of Tennessee, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that all loved him very much.

Stephen is preceded in death by his loving wife of 24 years, Melissa Paulk; his parents, Ira and Winnie; sisters, Barbara Graham and Linda Warner; and brothers, Mike Paulk and Phillip Paulk.

Cremation has been entrusted to Shafer Mortuary Funeral Home of Amarillo.
