Sylvia "Randi" Auzenne Huseman, 72, of Amarillo passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. The family will hold private services at a later date.
Randi was born on February 21, 1952 in Denver City, TX to Saturnino and Marie Rendon. She was raised in Denver City and graduated from Denver City High School in 1971. She attended West Texas A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor's and later a Master's Degree. In 1995, she married Terry Huseman in Amarillo. Together, they raised a family, ran a business, and built a loving home. Randi enjoyed worship, cooking, Dallas Cowboys football, and country western dancing– especially to George Strait.
Randi served as Principal at St. Mary's Cathedral School before working as a mental health leader and advocate for Texas MHMR. Following this, she owned and operated New Beginnings Preschool, where she impacted countless families over more than 20 years. Randi's career reflected her selfless and generous nature. She lived to educate and inspire, providing firm, but loving guidance and support to the children and families at her school, as well as her staff, her family, and myriad friends.
Above all, Randi was devoted to her faith and her family. She cherished family trips to the mountains, the beach, and any other places they could spend time together. She was a loving wife, mother, and proud "Dee Dee" to her 6 grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Huseman of Amarillo; 4 sons, Josh Auzenne of Amarillo, Jeremy Auzenne of Amarillo, J.W. Auzenne and wife Lauren of Falls Church, VA, and Jack Huseman and wife Gabby of Amarillo; and 6 grandchildren, Rendon, Jacob, Gabriella, Lily, Jack Daniel Jr., and Natalie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
