Teresa was born on November 2, 1953 in Kermit, TX to Blake and Doris Jackson. She graduated high school in Kermit, before settling in Alexandria, LA. There, Teresa worked as a legal secretary before finding her passion in nursing. She attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Ferriday, LA, earning her Associate's Degree at the age of 45. Teresa had a care givers heart. She was a devoted nurse, passionate about nursing home care. She also loved caring for her dog Chico, as well as her grandpups.
In her free time, Teresa enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers and playing games on her tablet as well as playing bingo and going to the casino. She loved to watch Hallmark movies and soap operas, especially Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives. Her kind, giving heart will be missed by many.
Teresa is survived by her daughter, Stacia Merriett of Amarillo; sister, Pat Dunn of Baltimore, MD; close cousins, Barbara Sue Vicknair and husband Richard of Alexandria and Gary Berry and wife Rebecca of Claude; uncle, Winston Carnahan of Alexandria; nieces and nephew, Susan Freidman of Ohio, Kristin Dunn of Maryland and Billy Dunn of Iowa; her dog, Chico and her grandpups, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Allen Jackson.
