Theta June Jones, 80, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. She was born on May 6, 1945 to Joesiah (Joe) Jackson and Osla Fowler Jones in Lafayette, California.

Theta Jones married Jimmy Ray Davis in Lewisville, Texas on February 3, 1966. Soon after that, they had a son they named Monty Ray Davis. They moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where she took college classes at Pikes Peak Community College. She worked as a pharmacist for many, many years, but her main job and passion was being a mother and wife taking care of her family. After Jimmy's retirement they moved to Amarillo, Texas to be around her family. Theta was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Davis; a son, Monty Ray Davis; 11 siblings, Mildred Bernice Jones, Wilford Stanly Jones, Paul Preston Jones, Virginia Louise Jones, Era Carynelia Jones, Buck Jones, Lavern Jones, Jerry Jones, Noel Wayne Jones, Yvonne Jones and Boyd Norris Jones.

Theta is survived by many nieces and nephews.
