Obituary

Timothy Paul Howsare, Passed on March 5, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on May 4, 1959 in Irwin Pennsylvania, Tim lived a life full of creativity, kindness, and laughter that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tim graduated from Chesterton High School and went on to pursue his passion for music at Ball State University, earning a degree in Music Education. He was not only a talented musician especially jazz music he also poured his whole soul into playing the organ at church, but he also made his mark as a dedicated newspaper editor where he spent most of his career and countless hours of overtime making sure that everything was done correct, he was also a gifted writer. Friends and family alike knew him for his gentle spirit, generous heart, and incredible sense of humor he had a way of seeing the funny side of any situation, He had great personal skills turning bad situations around making people see both sides of the coin.
Tim is survived by his beloved sister, Lois Baldauf, and her husband, Brad, as well as his nephew, Andrew Baldauf, and his wife, Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stacy and Margaret (Ragan) Howsare, his grandparents, Joseph and Anna Ragan, Emmory and Olive Howsare, and sister, Ann Howsare.
Those who knew Tim will remember him as someone who loved animals and children and in many ways was kind of a big kid himself, and who was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. He touched many lives, and his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
