Trinka was born on August 9, 1953 in Erie, PA to Andrew and Jeannie Marz. She moved to Concord, CA as a child, where she graduated high school. She then attended West Hills College in Coalinga, CA, earning her Associate's Degree before receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Hope University. Trinka worked as a teacher in the prison system, in clerical for the California Department of Rehabilitation, for Public Works on a Naval Air Station in Lemore, CA and later as a piano teacher.
On July 4, 1986, she met Glen Blackwell in California. The two of them moved to Amarillo following retirement and were married on October 24, 2015. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, painting, reading and spending time in her garden. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother to her family.
She is survived by her husband Glen Blackwell of Amarillo; 3 sons, Johhny Stone and wife Katelyn of Amargosa Valley, NV; Jason Stone of Las Vegas, NV and Chris Stone of Amarillo; brother, Michael Marz of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous brother and sister-in laws and cousins and her precious dog, Patches.
Trinka was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Terry Davidson and Ronald Stone.
