Tyler Andrew Cochran, 26, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 12, 2026, at his home. He was born on Friday, November 12, 1999, in Childress, Texas to Bobby and Andrea Tellman Cochran. He was a nursing student and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Tyler loved hunting and shark fishing. He had great plans for life pursuing a nursing degree. Tyler wanted to be a trauma nurse and a Life Flight nurse. He wanted to move to New Mexico. Tyler loved to work out in the gym. His gym partner, Shawn Polite, also served with Tyler in the United States Marine Corps. His biggest hunting buddy was Pat Wiegal. Tyler had a mentor, Spencer Bates, who also served with Tyler through the Marines and beyond into life.

He is survived by his wife, Becca, of Tucumcari, NM; a daughter, Adelaide Cochran of Tucumcari, NM; 2 sons, Colt Cochran and Walker Cochran, also of Tucumcari, NM; his parents, Bobby and Andi Cochran of Amarillo; 3 brothers, Colby Cochran, Amarillo area, Matthew Cochran and Patrick Cochran, both of Amarillo.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Llano Cemetery.
