Velinda was born on February 6, 1952 in Scott City, KS to Vernon and Vivian Collamore. She was raised in Scott City, graduating from high school in 1970. On August 14, 1971, she married the love of her life Myron Mills in Kansas and they settled their family in Amarillo in 1977. Myron preceded her in death in 2020. Together, they enjoyed camping and fishing with family as often as possible. Velinda worked for Chaparral Cleaners for many years, as well as being self-employed and also working for Walmart. She loved to craft and was a talented seamstress. Above all, she loved her family and cherished being "Grandma" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Tina Harris and husband Kelly and Terrie Mills, all of Amarillo; sister, Vicky White of Knoxville, TN; 2 brothers, Larry Collamore and wife Aleece of Waxahachie, TX and Vance Collamore and wife Lisa of Scott City, KS; 4 grandchildren, Samantha Collins and husband Joseph, Cody Harris and wife Sydney, Destinie West, Caitlin West, Ashley Harris and Kellsey Cain and husband Justin and 5 great grandchildren, Adrian Collins, Eli Harris, Noah Harris, Zeb Harris and Elizabeth Harris.
Velinda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Myron Mills and sister, Virginia Collamore.
