Vernon Lee Yanke, of Amarillo, Texas passed away peacefully on February 12th 2026 at the age of 81.

He was born on May 27th 1944 to Johanna and Robert Yanke in Beaver, Oklahoma.

Vernon is preceded in death by his mother Johanna and father Robert, as well as his brother Albert Yanke and sister Bonita Mc Kisson.

He is survived by his three daughters, Kimberly Tolley of Ohio, Jennifer Yanke of Dallas, Texas and Selena Yanke of Lubbock, Texas as well as his grandchildren; Davion, Shawn and Vallerie. He is also survived by his brother Clarence Yanke.

Vernon proudly served our country in the Army; he was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Vernon was a great friend to many and never met an enemy.

He will be missed and loved by all.
