Virginia was born on March 22, 1975 in Dimmitt to Donato and Ramona Torres. She was raised in Hereford, graduated from Hereford High School in 1993. She then attended WTAMU, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. She then began her career at ACFCU, where she was happily employed for close to 30 years. On July 30, 2005, Virginia married John Grove. Together, they shared many memories, having family get together and traveling when able.

In her free time, Virginia enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, especially with family, reading romantic novels, listening to music and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She will be missed greatly by her many friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, John Grove of Amarillo; mother, Ramona Torres of Hereford; 2 daughters, Trinity Grove and Karina Grove; 3 sons, Ray Boone and wife Shelby, Kophen Grove and Kelton Grove, all of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Ana Torres and Cynthia Cooper and husband J. Dale Butler, all of Hereford; 2 brothers, Octavio Torres and wife Pauline of Shreveport, LA and Umberto Torres of Amarillo; parents-in-law, Don and Sheryl Grove of Amarillo as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
